Seal
Catholic chaplain's seal from the Imperial German Navy, for use with sealing wax. A round brass seal with a wooden handle bearing a German imperial eagle coat of arms, surrounded by the inscription: 'Kaiserliche Marine. Katholischer Geschwaderpfarer.' It was recovered from the German ship 'Grosser Kerfürst' 1913 after it had been scuttled at Scapa Flow on 1 June 1919. The ship was savaged by Metal Industries in 1938.
