War service plaque, British India Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. On the left side of the plaque is shown the company badge. This depicts Britannia, standing with trident and union shield, facing to viewer's left, behind her, the British lion, proceeding left, a paw on the globe - this is enamelled white, the shield in colour. Below: 'B.I.S.N. Co. LTD.' Inscription: '"OZARDA" WAR SERVICE 1939-1945. 1941 MOTOR TRNSPORT AND STORESHIP. EGYPT. NORTH AFRICA AND GREECE. TOOK 2, 000 PRISONERS OF WAR FROM TOBRUK ON ONE VOYAGE. 1942-1943. TRANSPORT AND PETROL CARRIER. EGYPT. MALTA AND NORTH AFRICA. FIRST BRITISH MERCHANT SHIP TO ENTER TRIPOLI AFTER ENTRY OF EIGHT ARMY. VISITED BY GENERAL MONTGOMERY. 1943. FITTED AS A MOTOR TRANSPORT CARRIER. MALTA. MIDDLE EAST AND INVASION OF SICILY.'
