Brooch
Enamelled metal brooch in the shape of a ship's wheel, with a naval crown above. The brooch contains a depiction of a vessel at sea and is inscribed with the name 'ROYAL DAFFODIL'. 'Royal Daffodil' was built for the General Steam Navigation Company and was in service from 1939 to 1967. She evacuated service personnel from Dunkirk during May and June, 1940. After the war she operated cross channel services from ports on the Thames.
