Locket
Small rectangular 18ct gold locket decorated with a raised urn design set within a frame of leaves. Three short chains attached to a central ring suspend the locket. The locket opens on a hinge to reveal a cavity. The locket is inscribed with the words 'Lt Willm Harman, of HMS Albicore fell 18 Decr 1812 in his 25th Year', inside the lid. On the reverse of the locket set within a frame of leaves similar to the design on the front of the locket, are the initials 'WH' executed in relief. Below the locket, supported on two short chains, is a small gold fouled anchor. The locket commemorates Lieutenant William Harman RN who fell in the action between the French ship 'Gloire', 'HMS Albacore' and 'HMS Pickle'.
