Fob Accessories
Collection of fob accessories which are said to have been worn by Horatia Nelson-Ward (1801-1881), daughter of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) on her watch chain. The fob accessories consist of the following items: 1) a gold alloy, empty heart-shaped locket; 2) an oval pinchbeck locket, the locket is engraved with flowers, and has two compartments which contain locks of brown hair; 3) a silver vinaigrette made in the shape of a handbag; 4) a pinchbeck vinaigrette made in the shape of a watch. The following coins are also part of this collection: a 1769 Guinea, a 1796 Spade 1/2 Guinea, a 1797 1/3 Guinea, a 1838 Groat and a 1849 Florin.
