Locket
Circular locket, contained within a glazed, gilt metal setting, with a suspension ring. The glass on the front of the locket is decorated with a border of verre églomisé. This covers a miniature painting depicting a figure representing 'Hope'; a departing warship is shown in the background. There is an empty compartment at the back of the locket, which is lined with pink satin. This would have been intended to hold a lock of hair or other memento.
