Potence plate engraved with 'Jno Denton', 'London' and '7700'. Convex white enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals and dot minute markers. Gold beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal pair case with stepped gilt metal pendant and flat stirrup bow. Under painted horn and brass pinwork covered outer case with painted fern decoration. Gilt metal edges. Engraved on back of inner case with the name 'CAPT T.M.HARDY. R.N.'. The bow is a later replacement. The glass and fusee chain are missing.
