Silver, gold faced, sweetheart brooch, decorated around the edge with a foliate motif. The brooch comes complete with a pin attachment. The front of the brooch is decorated with an anchor and is inscribed in relief with the name 'HAWKE R.N.D', which stands for Hawke Battalion, Royal Naval Division.
