Plate chest

Plate chest belonging to Sir John Franklin (1786-1847) with a brass plaque on the front inscribed: 'Capt. Sir John Franklin No.2'. Oak, iron bound chest, with a pine base and two iron handles at either end. It has a pine base and a Bramah-type lock.
