Boxed set of artefacts

Boxed set of artefacts - two feathers, three beads, three obsidian arrowheads. 'Presented to David D. Waters on the occasion of his visit to the village Kule Loklo, Point Ruges National Seashore June 16 1979 by the Miwok Archaeological Preserve of Marin.' The accurately replicated artifacts displayed here represent typical Marin County items. The smalller projectile points are of a type in current usage at Francis Drake's arrival. The larger blade or projectile point is typical of those used 1000 AD or earlier. The large bead is a clam (saxidomus nuttall). Disc bead; these were extant at the time of Drake. The smaller shell (olivella biplicata) bead is a type which was in common use at the time of Christ. The Abalone (Haliotis reifescens) pendant is typical of prehistoric use of this material. Obsidian replications by William Mulloy. Beads and pendant by Don Thieler'.
