Green leatherette binding and green paper boards, separating. (5 3/4 x 9 1/2 ins). 36 ff., inc. one loose sheet from a smaller book. Includes a Rhine itinerary from Rotterdam to Strasbourg and pencil sketches in Germany and the Tyrol as far as Innsbruck; also a sketch map of the Tyrol as far south as Bozen (Bolzano). Date in cover 1833 and a note elsewhere and a note 'Jany 17th commenced the London Bridge for the King' (i.e. ‘Opening of New London Bridge’ for William IV, Royal Collection); also a profile portrait of 'Capt [George] Back RN', the Arctic explorer, and unidentified portraits.
