Model of a fine-weave grass flat basket with scalloped wire-edged top containing a composition of fruit etc.

The basket contents include plaster fruit and and paper leaves imitating: a melon bound for carrying, grapes, a pomegranate (?) stuck down on a bed of tow; with two loose figs in it and an indentation and plaster fragments which indicate that a loose melon, kept with it, is a part of the group that needs reattaching. From the studio collection of Clarkson Stanfield RA, acquired 9.04 (Bagshawe Collection). [PvdM 5.06]
