Cannonball
A round shot fired by a British warship into the Delaware coastal town of Lewes during the 2nd American War of 1812. In a box with a brass plate inscribed: 'Presented to the Royal Navy by the citizans of Lewes, Delaware and Henlopen Post's the American Legion. This box is made from timber recovered from HMD De Braake lost off the coast 1795 contents donated to Lewes by the Royal Navy in 1813.'
