Copper Sheathing
Copper sheathing, in a crumpled condition with nail holes. It comes from the transport 'Breadalbane' crushed by the ice on 21 August 1853. 'Breadalbane' was engaged in supplying the Belcher search expedition with her sister ship 'Phoenix'. The wreck is still in situ and was located in 1980 south of Beechey Island.
