Scale: circa 1:4. A model of a corner sawing machine made in metal. The machine is supported on four architectural brass columns. The frame is made of brass and the working components are made in brass and steel. The model has a rectangular block of wood in which is roughly cut two slots for sheaves. The block is laid on the angle frame, alongside of which works a circular saw, which cuts off those corners of the block which are parallel to the axis of the pin. The small plate, at right angles to the plate alongside of which the saw works, can be moved to any required distance from the saw according to the size of the block to be cut. The circular saw passes through the angle frame at an angle of 45 degrees and rotates on a shaft that has provision for two drive belts. The rectangular mahogany baseboard has bevelled edges and a small lozenge shaped hole at the centre. On baseboard: 'C' and 'No 41 Div B Class 14'
