Sledge harness
Sledge harness which belonged to Captain F. L. McClintock (1817-1907). It is a single strap made of canvas webbing, with a hand-sewn eye at each end. The eyes are joined by a rope. A second rope is attached to the first by a metal thimble, with a knot and copper washer at the other end. On a label: 'One of the five sledge drag belts.'
