Boots
A pair of boots that belonged to Captain F. L. McClintock (1817-1907). They were intended to be worn over woollen foot wrappers and thick socks. They consist of brown leather shoes with a canvas upper. Each shoe having two straps which lace together over the top of the foot, the laces passing through two pairs of eyeletted holes. The canvas tops each has a draw string at the top to secure it under the wearers knee over the trousers, to keep out loose snow. One boot has an extra pair of holes punched into one flap.
