Obverse: Within a broad band decorated with the shields of the seven United Provinces and their names inscribed on scrolls between, the bust of Prince Maurice in armour and ruff (three-quarter right). Legend: 'Mauritius . D . G . Princeps Auriacae, Com . Nass . &c . Prov . confae : Gubr'. Reverse: His coat of arms, encircled by the Garter inscribed, 'HONI SOIT QVI MAL Y PENSE' and crowned, within a laurel wreath and scrolls; a scroll below inscribed, 'Ie Maintiendray 16 cum Privil . 24 .'
