T VERBONT, EN VREEZ' ER KRYGSBANIER' (Here Holy Peace unites the Briton and the Dutchman; let the world respect their alliance, and dread their standards). Reverse: Starboard broadside view of a ship under sail, Fame flying above, tritons in the sea below. Legend: 'WAAROM ZEILT . T'VREDESCHIP OPT . SILVER IN DE ZEE? OM DAT DE BROEDRKRIIG VERANDERT IS IN VREE' (Why sails this ship of peace on this silver on the sea? Because the strife between brethren is turned to peace).
