Obverse: Bust of Admiral Kortenaer in a leather coat, decorated bandolier and cravat (nearly front). Legend: 'EGB . MZ . KORTENAAR (rose) L . ADM . V. HOLL . EN . W . F.' On a ribbon below: 'OB . 13 . IVN . AO . 1665.' (Egbert, son of Martin, Kortenaer, Lieutenant-Admiral of Holland aand West Friesland, died 13 June, 1665). Reverse: The four admirals in cloaks and hats sitting round a table, columns and hanging swords behind. Legend: 'RIDDER MARTEN HARPERTSEN TROMP, PIETER PIETERSEN HEYN, IACOB HEEMSKERCK, IAN VAN GALEN' (Names of the four admirals).
