Medal commemorating St George Del Mina (West Africa). Obverse: The fortress above 'S.G. DELMINA', a ship below. Legend: 'FVLCRA NON MINIMA'. Reverse: The arms of the Directors of the West India Company of Groningen in a circle, and in the centre a monogram and initials of the title of the Company. Legend: 'SOCIETAT . IND . OCCID . DIRECTORES . GRON . ET . OM'. This medal refers to one of the first trading centres established by the Dutch in the Gulf of Guinea.
