A denarius. Obverse: Within a pearled border the head of a goddess in a head-dress decorated with stars (right). Above: 'ROMA' (not visible). Below: 'CER[CO]'. Reverse: Within an oak wreath a galley. Inscription: 'Q. LVTATI.'; 'Q' (Quaestor). Struck by Lutatius Cerco in memory of the naval victory of his ancestor Q. Lutatius Catulus in the First Punic War 241 BC.
