Medal commemorating Charles Emanuel I (1730-1773), King of Sardinia and his fleet. Obverse: Bust of King Charles Emanuel of Sardinia in a long wig, cloak and order (left). Legend: 'CAROLVS EM . D . G . REX SAR . CYP . ET . IER'. (Charles Emanuel, by the Grace of God, King of Sardinia, Cyprus and Jerusalem). Reverse: Starboard broadside view of a 48-oared two-masted galley, sails furled; the coast (left). Inscription: 'CLASSIS REGIS SVPER MARE' (The King's fleet at sea).
