Medal commemorating Admiral Andrea Doria tercentenary, 1829. Obverse: Bust of Admiral Andrea Doria in armour and mantle (right). Legend: 'ANDREAS AB AVRIA'. Reverse: Inscription within a wreath of oak and laurel tied by the prow of a galley, 'MAGNIS MARI REB.GESTIS PATRIAE REGNO RECVSATO LIBERTATE LEGIBVS CONSTITVTIS'; above the chain and order of the Golden Fleece suspended. Possibly struck for the anniversary of his command of the fleet under the Emperor.
