Medal commemorating commerce with the Philippines. Obverse: Short bust of King Charles III of Spain in a long wig with curls, tied with ribbon, falling below the bust. Legend: '*CARLOS * III * INSTITUIDOR * BENEFICO*' (Charles III founder supporter). Reverse: Port broadside view of a full-rigged merchantman under plain sail and forecourse. Legend: 'COMMERCIO * FILIPINO * RENACE.' (Rebirth of commerce with the Philippines). Exergue: 'MANILA'. This was a prize given by the Manila Trading Society.
