Medal commemorating Admiral Andrea Doria (1468-1560). Uniface. Bust of Admiral Andrea Doria in armour mantled (right), a small trident behind (left). Legend: 'ANDREAS DORIA . P . P' This is said to have been struck by Leoni in gratitude to Admiral Doria for his liberation from the galleys. Presumably a trial piece.
