Legend: 'DE AMSTEL, DE VICE - ADMIRAAL KOOPMAN.' (Vice-Admiral Koopman of Amsterdam). Reverse: Inscription, 'COMMENDA GETUCHTIGD XI NOV . ANOEMA - ATJIRM VERBRAND IX DECEM . KWASSIE - KROM VEROVERD IX JAN .' (Commenda punished, Nov.XI Anoema- Atjirm burnt, December IX. Kwassie-Krom captured, January 9.) Legend: 'HET WETTIG GEZAG HERSTELD 1869-1870.' (Carried out by legal authority). This refers to the Admiral's actions in Guinea, now Ghana.
