Medal commemorating the accession of Queen Christina and the Battle of Femern, 1644. Obverse: Queen Christina standing before the throne, under a canopy on a dais with her courtiers on either side in a receding line. Leaning on the steps at her feet, is the crowned shield of Sweden, people below are looking on. Legend: 'IMPERIVM PROLES GVSTAVI MAXIMA MAGNI SVSCIPIT: INNVMMERIS VIVAT CHRISTINA TRIVMPHIS.' (The most distinguished child of noble Gustavus succeeds to the throne: may Christina live through innumerable triumphs.) Reverse: General view of the battle, within pearl border. Legend: 'AVGVSTAE PRENDIT DVM SCEPTRA POTENTIA LAVRO CINGIT SACRATVM BALTICA PVGNA CAPVT.' (While Royal Christina grasps the powerful sceptre, the Baltic fight wreaths her sacred head with laurel.)
