Medal commemorating the victories over the Turks in Morea, 1687. Obverse: Victory seated, palm in right hand, which holds on knee an oval shield inscribed 'DE TVRCIS . 1686.' (Won from the Turks.) She is surrounded by four cupids holding plans of cities labelled 'NAVARINO, S . MAVRA, CORNO, CALAMATA, MODON, CHIFLATA.' Reverse: A cupid standing upon a monument flanked by trophies of Turkish arms, holding the medallions of the Doges. Giustiniani and Morosini 'M . ANT . IVSTINIANVS . VENET . DVX' 'FR . MOROSINI . ADV . TVRC . IMP'. On the front face of the monument a view of Naples, 'NAPOLI DI ROMANIA'. Two other cupids below with medallions showing views of cities. Legend: 'VIRTUS VENETA.' Inscription (on edge): 'HOC DUCTV ADRIACIS VENETAM MIRAMVR IN VNDIS STARE VRBEM ET TOTO PONERE IVRA MARI.'
