(Philipp II and V, kings of Spain.) Exergue: 'ET RE ET NOMINE CONVENIVNT OPTIME.' (Both in circumstances and in name they are exactly alike.) Reverse: A naval action; in foreground ships sinking, in background ships on fire. Legend: 'CLASSES . INVICTAE . PER . ANGLOS . ITERVM . VICTAE.' (Invincible fleets a second time vanquished by the English.) Exergue: 'MAXIMAR(VM) . CLASSIVM . FACTA . MINIMA . 1588 . 1718 .' (Most insignificant feats of enormous fleets.)
