Medal commemorating the Peace of London, 1674 and Admiral Michel Adrianzoon de Ruyter (1607-76). Obverse: Bust of Admiral de Ruyter, (three-quarter right), long hair, wearing close-fitting doublet with cravat, and collar with badge of the Order of St. Michael. Legend: 'MICHIEL AD DE RVYTER . R . L . ADM . V . HOLL . E . WESTV .' (Michael, son of Adrian de Ruyter, Knight, Lieutenant-Admiral of Holland and West Friesland, etc.) Reverse: Peace with olive branch and cornucopia seated upon a pile of arms supported by genii, inscribed tablet below. Inscription: 'De Vreede Beflooten met de Koninck van Englant de Heeren Staten gene: rael de 19 Febr. 1674.' (The States General has concluded the peace with the King of England.)
