Obverse: King William III as Hercules trampling upon the prostrate monster of discord and setting fire to a pile of arms on an altar (right). Legend: 'PAX ALMA GAVDIVM GOVDAE.' Reverse: Peace holding an olive branch in her right and a lyre in her left hand seated on a pedestal (centre), Bacchus and Gouda with cornucopia (left), Neptune with trident raised and Mercury seated below (right), above the sun shining and Fame with her trumpet (right) flying, ships in the distance (right).
