Medal commemorating the relief of Copenhagen and evacuation of Croneburg, 1658
Medal commemorating the relief of Copenhagen and evacuation of Croneburg, 1658. Obverse: Stern view of a naval action, ship sinking (right), in distance the castle of Croneburg (right), in foreground a boat and stump of a mast (left), on a plank to which two men cling. Reverse: View of the town and harbour of Copenhagen, an inscribed ribbon above. Inscription (on ribbon): 'Hafnia Daniae'. Ossbahr attributes this medal to J. Hercules, born in Hamburg and went to Copenhagen in 1653, rather than to J. Horn.
