Medal commemorating the Swedish landing in Germany, 1630. Obverse: Bust of King Gustavus Adolphus, laureate, in deep collar and armour (right). Legend: 'GVSTAV : ADOLPH : D : G . SVECO : GOTHO : VANDALO : REX : MAG.' (Gustavus Adolphus, by the grace of God, Great King of the Swedes, Goths and Vandals.) Reverse: Stern view of a ship, sails partially furled; the sun on horizon (right), towers of a fort in the foreground. Legend: 'NON EXORATVS EXORIOR.' (Unimportuned I rise.) Struck in commemoration of the landing of the expedition to help the Protestants of Germany.
