Medal commemorating Admiral Clas Christersson Horn (1520-1566). Obverse: Bust of Admiral Horn in a cap and embroidered coat (right). Legend: 'CLAUD . HORN . L . B . R . SV . SENAT . ET THALASSIARCHA.' (Claudius Horn, Baron, Senator and Admiral of the Kingdom of Sweden.) Reverse: A winged Victory holding a palm branch sceptre and wreath over a trophy. Legend: 'PELAGI DECUS ADDIDIT.' (He added the honours of the sea.) Exergue: 'PROLATIS . R . FINIBUS MARI BALT . LIBERATO.' (Extended the frontiers of the Kingdom and delivered the Baltic Sea.)
