Obverse: A shield of the Admiral's arms with coronet resting on an anchor, the whole on a mantle of ermine. Legend: 'ARM . DE . MAILLE . DV . DE . BREZE . ADMAL . ET . G . ME . DV . COVMERCE . DE . FRANCE.' (...Grand Master of the Commerce, etc.). Reverse: Stern view of seven ships under sail and one in the distance. Legend: 'REGINA . QVOD . OPTAS.' (That which thou choosest, oh, Queen.) Exergue: '1646.'
