Counter commemorating the war against the Dutch and Spanish fleets. Obverse: Head of Admiral Louis de Bourbon, Comte de Vermandois (1667-1683), as a child (right). Legend: 'LOVIS . COMPTE . DE . VERMANDOIS . ADMIRAL . DE . FRAN'. Similar to MEC0591 but from a different dye, hair longer. Reverse: A four-fluked anchor erect, clouds behind. Legend: 'DAT . VENTOS . DAT . TEMNERE . FLUCTVS.' Exergue: '1677'.
