Obverse: Youthful bust of King Louis XV (right), curly hair tied in nape of neck; lace cravat, ribbon over right shoulder. Legend: 'LUD . XV REX CHRISTIANISS.' Reverse: Amphitrite seated on a shell floating on the sea, surrounded by mermaids offering gifts, a dolphin below. Legend: 'LAETA NOVIS OPIBUS.' (Rejoicing in new wealth.) Exergue; 'MARINE . M . DCC . XX.'
