Box

Box containing twenty-one sail plans, with two pages of folio references. Note that page 24 is blank. These sheets (numbered DDS0001-DDS0024) were originally bound as one volume but have been subsequently separated.

The inside of the front board has a note written by Symonds stating: "Sent to the Dock Yards, Nov 14th 1836." The leather label on the front of the board states "Superintendants Office, Devonport Yard." These plans have been signed or initialled by William Symonds when Surveyor of the Navy (1832-1848).
