DE BOURBON D . DE PENTHIEVRE AMIRAL DE FR.' Reverse: A ship's compass. Legend: 'DUBIIS SECUNDIS QUE REBUS RECTA.' Exergue: 'MARINE 1747.' The loss of d'Anville's squadron was compensated for by M. La Bourdonnais victory at Negapatam in the same year.
