Presentation medal to Admiral Michel Adrianzoon de Ruyter (1607-1676). Obverse: Head of King Louis XIV in a long wig with curls on the neck (right). Legend: 'LUDOVICUS XIIII . REX CHRISTIANISSIMUS.' (Louis XIV, most Christian king.) Reverse: The sun with face in glory shining down upon the terrestrial globe, clouds on either side. Legend: 'NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR.' (Not unequal to many.) Below: 'M . DC . LXIII.'
