Broken part of a Gunter scale, with brass pins for measuring off with dividers.
Recovered from the wreck of the Stirling Castle, which went aground on the Goodwin Sands off the Kent coast during the Great Storm of 1703.
Back - slightly altered order of scales: Meridian and Eq parts are at the top (normally at the bottom)
