Medal commemorating the voyage of corvette 'Favorite', 1829-32. Obverse: Inscription, 'VOYAGE AUTOUR DU MONDE ENTREPRIS PAR LA CORVETTE LA FAVORITE COMMANDÉE PAR LE CAPITAINE LA PLACE LE 29 DÉCEMBRE 1829 TERMINÉ LE 21 AVRIL 1832.' The obverse records the voyage round the world by this corvette, commanded by Cape la Place. Reverse: Inscription within a laurel wreath, 'HOMMAGE D'UN PÈRE RECONNAISSANT.'
