D'ORLÉANS PRINCE DE JOINVILLE.' Reverse: Inscription, in twelve lines, 'LA FLOTTE FRANÇAISE ATTAQUE MOGADOR LE 15 AOUT 1844. ELLE ÉCRASE LA VILLE ET SES BATTERIES ET PREND POSSESSION DE L'ILE ET DU PORT. S . A . R . LE PRINCE DE JOINVILLE, COMMANDANT L'EXPÉDITION.' (The French fleet attacked Mogador 15 August 1844, bombarded the town and its batteries and took possession of the island and the harbour.)
