Inscription: '[born] 29 MARS 1805, [died] 29 MARS 1873.' Legend: 'SAMUEL, PROSPER, JUSTIN NAPOLEON DE CHASSELOUP LAUBAT.' Reverse: Inscription, 'CE MONUMENT A ÉTÉ ÉRIGÉ PAR SOUSCRIPTION PUBLIQUE A MARENNES [CHTE. INRE. LE 13 7BRE 1874.' (This monument was erected by public subscription at Marennes, Charente Inferieure, 13 September 1874.)
