Medal commemorating the dominion of the sea. Obverse: Bust of King Charles II (right) in a long wig, laureate, and mantle. Legend: 'CAROLVS . II . D . G . M . BR . FR . ET . HIB . REX.' Reverse: The king crowned, a trident in his right hand, the British lion at his feet, driving Neptune's chariot with four horses abreast across the sea, a line of battleships drawn up in the distance. Legend: 'ET . PONTVS . SERVIET 1665.' (The sea too shall obey.)
