Medal commemorating Admiral Edward Vernon (1684-1757) and John Campbell. 2nd Duke of Argyll (1678-1743). Obverse: Admiral Vernon, full length, a sword in his right hand, clasping with the other hand that of Commodore Charles Brown, a crown above, a ship below. Legend: 'THE . BRITISH . GLORY . REVIV.D: BY ADM.L: VERNON : COMR : BROWN'. Signed 'I. GILES' in exergue. Reverse: Duke of Argyle, facing left, face front, leaning on a plinth on which rests his coronet (right), trophies (left). Legend: 'THE . GENEROUSE : (sic) DUKE : OF : ARGYLE'. On ribbon below: 'NO. PENTIONER'.
