Medal commemorating Admiral Edward Vernon (1684-1757) and Sir Robert Walpole (1676-1745). Obverse: Admiral Vernon, a sword in his right hand, clasping with the other hand that of Commodore Charles Brown, a crown above and a ship below. Legend: 'THE . BRITISH . GLORY . REVIV . D : BY . ADML : VERNON : COMR . BROWN.' Reverse: The devil leading Sir Robert Walpole by a rope round the neck towards the open mouth of an infernal beast. Legend: 'MAKE ROOM FOR SIR ROBERT.' Exergue: 'NO : EXCISE.'
