On the reverse is a view of Porto Bello Harbour and ships. The legend reads 'PORTO . BELLO . TAKEN . BY . ADMIRAL . VERNON . WITH . SIX . MEN OF WAR ONLY . NOV : THE . 22 . ANNO DOM . 1739.' There is no line enclosing legend.
