Sectric
Synchronous motor electric clock, c.1937, wall-mounted, by Smith's English Clocks Ltd, 'Smith Sectric' brand, for use as a shop advertising display clock. Contains rotating pierced back-lit disc around dial reading 'Greenwich Time From The Mains', the disc rotating once per 30-seconds. Dial reads 'Approved Stockist of Smith Sectric Clocks'. Non-self-starting motor, chrome-plated case, hand-setting and starting knob, light switch, white dial with black Arabic numerals and no seconds-hand.
